Spark Employment Services, formerly known as the Sudbury Vocational Resource Centre (SVRC), was established in 1986 in response to restructuring in the mining industry. In 2019, SVRC rebranded as Spark Employment Services. The organization began with Project 25-44, an initiative designed to help men receiving social assistance re-enter the workforce. Following the program’s success, Spark expanded its services through partnerships with federal, provincial, and regional governments.
