Finance Statements Reviewers make an impact by helping our team make smart, effective decisions when it comes to allocating funding across our districts. We are looking for detail-oriented, knowledgeable individuals to join our team and assist the Committee by reviewing financial statements from applicant organizations and determining their financial stability.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Attend all training sessions, and any meetings as required
· Be aware of, understand and adhere to all relevant policies including code of conduct, confidentiality, conflict of interest, etc.
· Review and report on applicant financial reports according to Finance Committee guidelines and criteria provided by the Treasurer of the Board, including:
· Reviewing Auditor’s reports, Statement of Operations, Statement of Financial Position, any Notes to the Financial Statements
· Reporting on the overall financial stability of the organization, noting any red flags/areas of concern to the Finance Committee and/or Treasurer
What We Look For:
· You have: Excellent communication skills and a background in finance (valid qualifications/accreditation i.e., CFP, CPA, RFP, CFA, PFP an asset)
· You are: Analytical, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and take direction well
Time Commitment:
· Mandatory orientation training (virtual or in-person): 1 hour in early December
· Review/work time: as assigned throughout the year, with work heavier in early winter.
Supervision:
· Financial Statements Reviewers will report directly to the Governance and Partnerships Manager
· Position is offered remotely
