The Food Bank is held twice a month, usually every second Wednesday.
We serve an average of 40 families each time we're open. Each client is only able to access the bank once a month.
Volunteers usually come in on the Tuesday prior to prep the bags of groceries
They also come early on the Wednesday morning to set up the hall and prepare the fresh produce, egg, bread, meat and milk products.
Each shift requires at least 5 volunteers.
Clients are allowed in the hall up to our capacity according to Covid rules.
We really have a lot of different things that we do such as picking up donations, moving boxes of food, lots of boxes of items need to be shelved.
