We are a place for the homeless and less fortune who are able to receive a free light meal, refreshment and snacks as well as be entertained while coming inside to a safe place.
We serve sandwiches, soup, beans and wieners or whatever else has been donated such as crackers and cheese, mini pizzas, salads, various fruits, many types of cookies and cake. Some volunteers make cakes cookies, jello and we are always busy prepping.
-Coffee, tea, water; sometimes protein drinks, pop or juice is served
-clients are welcome to come inside, have their light meal, listen to music and we usually put o a movie on a large screen.
-we have a chance to talk to clients but many come to rest and feel safe. A place to cool off in the summer and stay warm the other months.
-ideally, we would like to have 3 volunteers for every Shelter shift as usually someone is busy prepping, on serving, the other watching everything and one in the hall.
We practice Covid rules" wearing masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing.
we are also always cleaning, sanitizing and making sure that everyone is okay.
