The Sudbury Art Crawl is a grassroots cultural event celebrating the arts in the City of Greater Sudbury. The Sudbury Art Crawl features a variety of works by local artists at all career stages at local venues throughout our City. Come experience the diverse talent our region has to offer!
The next Sudbury Art Crawl takes place on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 12 - 5 p.m. Businesses throughout downtown Sudbury will be featuring works by visual artists that day, along with live indoor music, busking performances, a book launch from Latitude 46 Publishing, and a theatre performance screening by Theatre du Nouvel-Ontario at the Sudbury Indie Cinema.
We are seeking 6 volunteer Community Ambassadors (18+) on Saturday, October 2, 2021 (3 volunteers for 12-2:30 p.m. shift, 3 volunteers for 2:30-5 p.m. shift) to be stationed at different street corners in downtown Sudbury, who can hand out listings of Crawl locations to passersby, answer questions about the Crawl, and point people in the direction of the businesses featured in the Crawl, as well as to the live busking, indoor music, and screening performances.
Volunteers will be briefed with information about the Crawl, as well as lists of venues to be distributed prior to the Crawl (date/time to be arranged with volunteers as they are accepted.) Volunteers will also be supplied with event t-shirts to distinguish them that should be worn during their shifts. On the event day, SAC board members will periodically check in with the Community Ambassadors to ensure the shift runs smoothly and safely.
