Demand Paid Sick Days for all Workers!
As the province begins the process of re-opening, thousands of workers are at risk of getting sick. Wouldn't it be great if workers had reliable labour protections that would protect them from the devastating effects of COVID-19?
Join the Day of Action on May 21st to demand that the provincial government BRING BACK PAID SICK DAYS to protect workers and to protect public health. If you have the ability to stay home when you are sick, you won't spread disease. We need to ensure that paid sick days are legislated as essential protections and increased to a minimum of 7 permanent days. It’s time for us to take action for decent work!
On May 21st participate in the province wide Day of Action! Put a poster in your window, draw art on your sidewalk, bang pots and pans and/or chant out your window. Show Ontario that we want Paid Sick Days and Emergency Leave!
We are holding a Facebook Live event and will drive around Sudbury to film posters, sidewalk art, and people making noise. Fill in this Google Form and tell us where you will be! You can remain anonymous and off camera if you want, but help us show the rest of Ontario that Sudbury wants paid sick days too!
