Closet Share is looking for a creative Marketing & Content Creation Volunteer to help us share our story, promote our programs, and create fun, engaging content for social media.
This role is perfect for a student or community member who loves creating content, filming short videos, coming up with creative ideas, and helping a local charity grow its reach.
Closet Share has a unique model that provides free and low-cost clothing to the community while reducing textile waste. We are looking for someone who can help create content based on our mission, programs, daily operations, volunteers, clothing uploads, events, and community impact.
Volunteer Tasks May Include:
- Creating short videos for social media
- Filming fun, creative, and engaging content
- Helping create posts, reels, TikToks, stories, and behind-the-scenes videos
- Promoting Closet Share’s free and low-cost clothing model
- Creating content that explains how Closet Share works
- Highlighting new uploads, thrift finds, events, volunteers, and community programs
- Helping plan content ideas and simple marketing campaigns
- Taking photos or videos during volunteer shifts, events, or pop-up shops
- Creating awareness around textile waste and sustainable shopping
- Helping make Closet Share feel welcoming, fun, and easy to understand online
- Supporting fundraising and event promotion when needed
Helpful Skills:
- Creative and comfortable making content
- Interested in social media, marketing, communications, or video creation
- Comfortable using a phone to film photos and videos
- Familiar with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or LinkedIn
- Able to create fun, positive, and respectful content
- Organized and able to follow Closet Share’s brand and mission
- Basic Canva, CapCut, editing, or design experience is helpful but not required
