The Kidney Foundation of Canada is seeking passionate volunteers in Northern Ontario (Sudbury and Thunder Bay area) to help raise awareness about kidney health and support individuals affected by kidney disease. As a Kidney Health Community Ambassador, you’ll represent the Foundation at health fairs and community events to share vital information and resources about kidney health with the public, healthcare professionals and patients diagnosed with kidney disease or renal failure.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

Volunteer Duties:

·       Support the Kidney Foundation booths at local health fairs and community events.

o   Answer general questions about the Foundation and kidney disease.

o   Distribute education materials and promote Kidney Foundation’s programs and volunteer opportunities.

o   Build relationships and share resources with healthcare professionals at kidney care centres.

What We’re Looking For:

·       Volunteers who are independent, reliable, and collaborative.

·       Comfortable engaging with the public and working remotely with staff support.


Additional Details:

·       Locations: Northern Ontario (Primarily in Sudbury and Thunder Bay area)

·       Commitment: Flexible, based on event schedule

·       Dress Code: Black or dark shirt and pants; comfortable closed-toe footwear

·       Training: Orientation to Kidney Foundation programs and resources will be provided by staff
