The Event Volunteer will assist in setup, tear down, manning booths at events and answering public questions about Spark’s services. Volunteers will represent Spark in ways that aligns with the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Training will be provided based on the volunteers needs. This role directly translates to Spark’s overall mission because it acts as an outreach and promotion for our services to reach as many people within our community as possible.
The location of this position can be anywhere in the vicinity of Greater Sudbury. If a bus or GOVA bus pass is required it will be provided, if the volunteer uses their personal vehicle mileage reimbursement will be provided. Reimbursement will be provided to every volunteer for their required Vulnerable Sector Check. The volunteers will be required to participate in orientation.
This role is best suited for those who enjoy organization, socialization, people, helping others, answering questions, providing support, and busy environments. This volunteer role requires an English Speaker, preferably French.
