Who We Are

The Elizabeth Fry Society of Northeastern Ontario is a non-profit organization supporting women and gender diverse people impacted by the justice system. We address the effects of criminalization and promote equality, dignity, and second chances through advocacy, education, and community-based services.

What We Do

Through compassion and advocacy, we offer programs that make a real difference: -Supporting people released on bail -Providing safe shelter and housing help -Offering restorative justice and mediation for youth -Empowering individuals to rebuild their lives Volunteers are the heart of our work—whether offering reception and front desk support, greeting clients, answering phones, assisting with administrative tasks, helping at charitable bingo events, providing court support, jail visits, fundraising, and community outreach. Every role helps strengthen our mission and support those rebuilding their lives.
