Volunteer: Wheelchair Basketball Volunteers Needed

With our Wheelchair Basketball season currently underway, we are looking for volunteers to assist with the on-foot transportation of wheelchairs on Sundays from 2:00pm-4:15pm.  

Volunteers will need to meet at 125 Durham Street by 2:00pm to transport wheelchairs by foot to 140 Durham Street (YMCA across the street).  

Transportation of the wheelchairs back to 125 Durham Street will take place between 4:00pm-4:15pm.

Volunteer: Food Bank Volunteers Needed

Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin (ILSM) provides those with disabilities the tools to succeed and achieve independence in their lives - We are located at 125 Durham Street. 

Our non-profit organization offers programs and activities that are available to our members, essentially to provide them with information, awareness and education. ILSM runs effectively because of the dedication of our over 500 members and the active role they take in determining our services and programs.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our food bank from 1pm-3pm on Mondays to Thursdays and Fridays from 1pm-2pm. 

Duties would include: 
• Ensuring members and clients fill out a mandatory food bank slip with complete information. 
• Package food boxes for members and clients as instructed. 
• Restock shelves and ensure organization, if applicable.
• Perform janitorial duties to keep the facility clean and organized, clean up spills if necessary.
