Volunteer: Event Volunteers for NOFCC

Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC) serves over 200 families who have a child diagnosed with cancer annually. We offer 23 programs to support the emotional, financial, and educational needs of these families. 

We are currently seeking volunteers who can assist at the following events: 

- Charity BBQ on September 24th & 25th

- Charity BBQ on October 1st

Make a difference in the lives of children with cancer in your community today! 

At Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC), our mission is to provide hope, support, advocacy, and education to families who have a child with cancer. We serve more than 200 families in the North annually through 23 programs including financial assistance to help with lost wages, parking and accommodations reimbursements, emergency funding, bone marrow transplant plans, therapy, counselling, and tutoring services, and supports for palliative care and bereaved families.

We are seeking reliable volunteers who can give a few hours of their time monthly. Volunteers will perform the following duties at Delta Bingo & Gaming in Sudbury:

Greet and assist players as needed Call out bingo winners’ numbers Identify winners for staff to distribute prize money Keep the environment clean and tidy for players (e.g., recycle old games, pick up empty cups, push in chairs, wipe down tables) Advocate for childhood cancer and our charity

*Please note that volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. 

Proceeds from this funding source will assist with program costs and directly benefit families in your community who have a child diagnosed with cancer when they need it most.
