Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin (ILSM) provides those with disabilities
the tools to succeed and achieve independence in their lives - We are located at 125 Durham Street.
Our non-profit
organization offers programs and activities that are available to our members,
essentially to provide them with information, awareness and education. ILSM
runs effectively because of the dedication of our over 500 members and the
active role they take in determining our services and programs.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in the delivery of
programming. We offer a wide range of activities daily, relating to skills
development, peer support, adaptive sports, and our food program, such as:
• Interactive games like bingo, air hockey, board games
• Basic computer skills
• Arts and crafts
• Resume and cover letter writing
• Budgeting
• Basic kitchen/cooking skills.
