Meals On Wheels (Sudbury) is a non-profit organization providing nutritious meals to seniors and other vulnerable populations in the Greater Sudbury community. We are a community-focussed organization embracing volunteerism in the provision of nutritious meals and services.
We have 50 years of experience serving the needs of the City of Greater Sudbury and its outlying communities. Our Agency operates an extensive meal delivery service aimed at encouraging self-sufficiency for a wide cross-section of our community. We are always evolving, with our most recent project being the implementation of making our own frozen meals to better serve our community.
This meaningful Board of Director opportunity will appeal to those interested in the stewardship of a caring and vibrant community-focused organization where programs offered are accessible, for a minimal cost. In our evolution, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and socially-conscience team player. At this time the Board is particularly interested in candidates having a professional background in Information Technology, Law, or Media Relations.
The appointment to the Board is for a 3-year term with a commitment of approximately 2 hours a month, plus sub-committee work. The Board regularly meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month, with a break over the summer months.
