Golf Tournament Fundraising & Outreach Volunteer
Closet Share is looking for a motivated volunteer to help support our upcoming Closet Share Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, September 11, 2026.
This volunteer role would start as soon as possible and would help with gathering teams, raising awareness, collecting prizes, and connecting with local businesses for sponsorship opportunities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys community outreach, events, fundraising, networking, sales, marketing, or simply wants to help a local charity grow its impact.
Volunteer Tasks May Include:
- Helping gather golf teams for the tournament
- Reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships
- Helping collect prizes, raffle items, silent auction items, or giveaways
- Sharing posters, flyers, and event information
- Promoting the tournament in the community
- Helping connect Closet Share with potential sponsors or donors
- Following up with businesses, teams, and community contacts
- Supporting social media awareness for the tournament
- Helping thank sponsors, donors, teams, and supporters
- Assisting with event preparation leading up to tournament day
- Helping on tournament day, if available
Helpful Skills:
- Friendly and comfortable speaking with people
- Good communication skills
- Organized and reliable
- Comfortable sending emails or making phone calls
- Able to follow up with contacts
- Passionate about helping the community
- Experience in fundraising, sales, events, marketing, or networking is helpful but not required
Why This Role Matters:
The Closet Share Charity Golf Tournament helps raise funds to support our free and low-cost clothing program in Greater Sudbury. Closet Share provides clothing to individuals, families, youth, seniors, newcomers, and community organizations while also helping reduce textile waste.
Every team, sponsor, prize, and shared post helps us continue supporting the community.
