Make a difference in the lives of children with cancer in your community today!
At Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer (NOFCC), our mission is to provide hope, support, advocacy, and education to families who have a child with cancer throughout the vast Northern Ontario "P" Postal Code System. We have helped more than 400 families in the North since our creation in 1998. More than 200 families are helped annually through 24 programs including financial assistance to help with lost wages, parking and accommodations reimbursements, emergency funding, bone marrow transplant, therapy, counselling, and tutoring services, and supports for palliative care and bereaved families.
We are seeking reliable volunteers who can give a few hours of their time monthly. Volunteers will perform the following duties at Delta Bingo & Gaming in Sudbury:
- Greet and assist players as needed
- Keep the environment clean and tidy for players (e.g., recycle old games, pick up empty cups, push in chairs, wipe down tables)
- Advocate for childhood cancer and our charity
- Wear shirt as provided, with nametag
*Please note that volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
All proceeds from this funding source will assist with program costs and directly benefit families in your community who have a child diagnosed with cancer when they need it most.
