United Way Centraide North East Ontario/Nord-est de l’Ontario (UWCNEO), in partnership with the Sudbury & District Labour Council, invite you to be part of the 6th annual Tampon Tuesday initiative taking place throughout the community until March 15th, 2022.
1 in 4 Canadians must choose between buying food or period products each month. Although menstrual hygiene products are a necessity, many people in our community cannot afford to purchase them. This is where Tampon Tuesday helps!
There are several ways to participate:
- Launch a workplace collection drive until March 15th.
- Donate products at UWCNEO’s no-contact drive-thru on March 4th and 5th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 957 Cambrian Heights Drive in Sudbury, or at the Rainbow Teacher Local located at 174 Douglas Street on March 5th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a complete listing of participating organizations, visit www.uwcneo.com
- Make a financial donation to support the Tampon Tuesday campaign.
All donations collected from Tampon Tuesday will be distributed locally to organizations supporting vulnerable clients in our community. If you know an organization that can utilize menstrual hygiene products, please have them fill out an application.
For more information about Tampon Tuesday, please visit our website, or contact Katherine Cockburn, Development Manager at k.cockburn@uwcneo.com.
